Manaaki Spots

Sometimes the only thing standing between a child and an experience like this is cost.
Manaaki Spots are community-funded places that allow children to attend Nature Days who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
Manaaki means caring for others, showing kindness, and helping people feel supported.
This is about making time in nature accessible for every child.

Why it matters

Your support helps a child:

  • Spend a day outside instead of on screens

  • Experience confidence, freedom, and adventure

  • Feel included and part of something positive

  • Return home calmer, happier, and more settled

Small acts of generosity create big ripples.

How it works

Each Nature Day includes a small number of Manaaki Spots.

Community contributions go directly towards covering the cost of these places.

You can:

  • Contribute any amount

  • Part-fund a place

  • Fully sponsor a child’s Nature Day
