Family Picnic Outdoors

Connection matters.

Parenting today can feel heavy at times - and it’s easy to feel like you’re carrying it all on your own.

The Groundwork Community creates space for families to slow down, connect and feel supported alongside others who understand what modern parenting really looks like.

We often hear that it takes a village to raise a child.

The truth is, many of us are raising children without one.

This is about bringing that sense of village back - real connection, shared experiences, and the quiet relief of knowing you’re not the only one figuring this out.

What Community Looks Like

Our gatherings are designed to create space for families to slow down, connect and step out of the constant pace of everyday life.

You can expect:

• A relaxed and welcoming environment
• Genuine connection with other parents and families
• Time outdoors, where children can move and play naturally
• Moments to pause, breathe and reset together

Sometimes this might look like a nature walk.

Sometimes a beach, park or bush meet-up.

Sometimes gathering to watch the sunrise, or winding down together at sunset.

Other times, it may simply be a chance to sit, talk, share and be alongside others who understand the season you’re in.

Because when families feel connected, everything feels a little lighter.

Less isolation.
More support.
More village.

Who This Is For

The Groundwork Community is for the people raising and caring for children - parents, caregivers and grandparents.

This is a space for connection, not perfection.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to feel confident.
You don’t need to be the “social” one.

Come as you are.

If you’re feeling stretched, overwhelmed, unsure - or simply craving more connection for yourself and the children in your life - this is a place where you don’t have to hold it all together.

There was a time when raising children happened alongside others - neighbours, extended family, people who shared the everyday load.

Life looks different now. Many families are doing this without that natural support.

The Groundwork Community gently brings that sense of village back -  through shared experiences, real connection, and the reassurance that you’re not doing this alone.

Because raising children was never meant to be done alone.

Community gatherings will be shared as they become available.

If this feels like something you or your family would value, you’re welcome to stay connected and hear about upcoming walks, meet-ups and community gatherings.

There’s no obligation - just an open invitation to be part of the village as it grows.
