The Groundwork helps create those opportunities through nature, community and the spirit of manaaki - caring for others and supporting the wellbeing of those around us.

There are two simple ways you can help support local kids.
Sponsor a Child

Help a child attend a Groundwork Nature Day.
Each sponsored place gives a child the opportunity to spend a full day outdoors exploring, connecting and simply being a kid - climbing, building, making friends and learning confidence through nature.

Business Support
​
Local businesses can help create meaningful opportunities for children and families through Manaaki experiences.
​
These experiences might include things like a visit to Orana Park, punting on the Avon, tickets to a Crusaders game, or a shared meal and book to enjoy together.
